Formula 1: White Alba Truffle festival
White Alba Truffle Festival - period of 10th Oct to 15th Nov
Day 1: truffle hunting
You are taken from the airport to your hotel, B&B or agriturismo with a shuttle service or rental car arranged by us. After an espresso with brioche at a local bar, you're off to your 1st appointment with a truffle hunter. Suitable footwear is a necessity as you embark on the adventurous trekking through the woody surroundings, and by the end of it, you will have become completely initiated in the world of Italian truffles. During this walk, you get acquainted with the life of a truffle hunter and this man's best friend, and will of course also get your hands dirty yourself! Dine or lunch accompanied by suitable wines together with the truffle hunter in one of his venues or simply in nature.
Afterwards, you can breathe in Italian culture in museums, participate in workshops, explore the Banca del Vino and of course devour wonderful slow food.
Day 2: Barbaresco
This day is filled with explorations of Barbaresco, during which all your senses are spoiled with visits to various visits to museums, castles, and much more! You lunch at the terrace of the most charming Enoteca of the Langhe and participate in a cooking workshop teaching you how to make Pasta Tajarin
Formula 2: outside of the truffle season
Outside of the truffle season, from early April to mid October, you can also hunt for delightful Italian truffles! In this period, you don't go looking for the white Alba truffle but instead the black spring or autumn truffle. The rest of the programme is identical to the one for the White Alba truffle. These truffle journeys in Italy will be a true treat, especially gastronomically, for all your senses.
