Mountainbike & Trekking – Piedmont

Made in Italy Travel also provides the answers for those who aren't that taken in with the cultural side of things, but nevertheless want to be very active during their vacation. Enjoying mountainbiking & trekking along our physically challenging tracks will certainly make the physical exercise all the more impressive. Luggage transports and transports between the different stages of your course? All taken care of! You can opt for formulas that give you half a day or an entire day of mountainbiking/trekking. In the evening a tasting menu lets you enjoy the regional specialties in a local trattoria or restaurant.

In the morning of day 1 you will discover the Barolo area on a mountainbike. In the afternoon you will arrive in Pollenzo, a UNESCO world heritage site, where you will pay visits to Banca del Vino and the cradle of Slow Food, before enjoying Baci di Cherasco (an absolutely delicious chocolate tasting) in Pasticceria Babrero, Barbaresco. Our recommended hotel is situated close to a very beautiful walking track surrounded by hazels and vineyards.

Day 2 - Barbaresco & Co: Before getting back up on your mountainbike or embarking on your trekking tour, there will be plenty of time to take photos accompanied by your tour manager in numerous very scenic villages. Today you will also explore the Barbaresco region - on foot or by mountainbike - and attend a wine tasting in an agriturismo at the top of a hill. At noon you will consume a light lunch on the terrace of the coziest village of the Langhe valley. At that point, the tour has come to an end, and so have your physical efforts. You will experience a tasting of Slow Food products while enjoying a first-class glass of Barbaresco wine. You will also be discovering the authentic Italian cuisine, thanks to a gastronomic menu in one of our traditional restaurants or, should you wish, in one of the best Michelin starred restaurants in the area.
