The 3-day programme
Your Fiat 500 is already there waiting for you as you arrive in Turin or Milan. Just jump in and follow the GPS to the location of your first appointment for a thorough briefing.
Day 1: Slow food & wine in Barbaresco
Today you explore Barbaresco and try the best slow food Piedmont has to offer in an artisan, authentic little family-run company. You also learn to make the most delicious dishes such as pasta Tajarin and taste many other local products. Afterwards you take a walk through several vineyards together with a guide who tells you everything there is to know about vinification. This wine walk ends with a refreshing glass of Barbarasco wine at a panoramic terrace. Afer that, you discover Barbaresco with a detailed roadbook. To top this inspiring day off, you will have dinner in one of the best local restaurants.
Day 2: Barolo
Today you explore the Barolo region from A to Z. You enjoy a touch of culture (at your option), take part in a Grissini making workshop, taste Barolo Cru wines and of course Piedmont's wonderful slow food. You will also taste exquisite ice cream in La Morra, truffle products in Alba, enjoy a merenda sinoira in Verduno, and, last but not least, the wonderful Baci Di Cherasco chocolates of Cherasco.
Day 3: Roero
You finish your magnificent vacation with a day in Roero. A completely different panorama and a visit in a specialised cheese shop in Canale where it seems as time has stood still. The wine producer you visit is truly one of a kind, modern in style with biodynamic methods. You also visit a characteristic little foccacia shop, where you discover whole new tastes.
