Breakfast all'Italiano

Those still believing that Italians skipp their breakfast will be quite suprised to hear that according to a national survey 80% of them do consider a healthy breakfast the most efficient way of starting the day. "Biscotti" and "brioche" accompagnied by chocolate and marmelate are present on the breakfast table,  pratically anything which is not belonging to consuming of fat ingredients.  38% of Italian population is taking a breakfast at the bar and this means 10 million persons,  of which those aged 35 to 49 years represent 38% of the total amount.  Mc Café of Mc Donalds - of which 250 are present in Italy - is selling more than 10 million coffees and capuccino's per year. Defintely a record according to Emanuela Rovere,  marketing director of Mc Donalds Italy. Who is presenting himself at Mc Cafés in pyiama will receive  a free breakfast and the initiative will continue for the coming 23 days.  In Milano, in Piazza Duomo,  there will be even a very large bed where everyone can take a selfie. Just a pity, Milano is not next door...
