Cooking workshop & slow food tastings – Piedmont
Day 1: cooking workshop and wines in Piedmont
You are expected for a very lively cooking workshop during which the mother and daughters of a local delicacy shop will induct you into the Piedmontese kitchen. Afterwards it is pure indulgence to consume all of your self-prepared dinner, accompanied by suitable Barbaresco wines.
After a short trekking through the vineyards of Barbaresco you head for Barolo where all your five senses will be fully stimulated. You learn everything about the origin and production of Grissini during a hands-on workshop where you will get to roll up your sleeves yourself once more!
You taste Barolo Cru wines at a traditional small-scale winery, delicious Panna-Cotta/Chinotto ice cream in La Morra and Baci di Cherasco in a characteristic chocolate shop whose furnishings date from 1880.
In the evening, you dine in style with a voucher system, choosing between traditional Piedmontese cuisine, Piedmontese with international influences or a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Day 2: slow food tastings and wine in Piedmont
You engross yourself even further in slow food and taste (bio)cheese, sliced cold meats such as filetto-salame di tartufo and have lunch in a trendy, authentic winery in an unusually cosy village square.
This day you also visit one of the region's outstanding wine producers, such as Marchesi di Gresy, Domenico Clerico or others, depending on their availability and your preferences.
